Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) legislators called on the party President Shahbaz Sharif, in his chamber in the Parliament House and discussed issues of national importance including recent killing of four people in a shootout by Counter-Terrorism Department officials in Sahiwal.
Sharif directed the party legislators to raise the issues of their respective constituencies in the Parliament and press the government for their early resolution.
He said that the PML-N had served the nation through development projects and a number of public welfare projects during its government in the Centre and Punjab province. "We need to continue serving the masses with the same spirit," he said.
The PML-N lawmakers apprised Shahbaz Sharif of recent price hike of utilities like electricity and gas, besides other issues of public importance in their respective constituencies.
The party legislators and Shahbaz Sharif agreed to continue the consultation on different issues regularly to improve performance in the Parliament and resolve issues of the public. They also expressed deep concern over Sahiwal tragedy wherein four people were killed in the shootout, and urged the government to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest.
